Lumiere II Fest | 15-16 November 2024

Under the aegis of our Principal, Dr.Lavanya Mithran, Lumiere – II was envisioned and showcased the prowess of Bishop Cotton Girls’ School on 15th & 16th November 2024.

The  ISC department , along with the students created events with unique names and original themes; to name a few Cognos, Nefarium, EcoNexus, Bella Maschera, Rev & Revenue, Kryptos, Battle of Bands,Fashion Show, etc. Each venue of the events was adorned with art works and arrangements that were appealing to the judges and participants alike.

Our students of Std XI and XII are at the stage of their lives wherein their creativity and originality are at its best. This was seen in the manner in which the events were planned , executed with precision and punctuality filtered with fun times and humour, all deeply appreciated. May it be the fun facts of Psychology or the revenue related possibilities of commerce delving into scientific realms, the events were well received.

As the participants stepped out into the field, they were greeted by the cheerful atmosphere of music, games and items to whet their appetites, Spiralling back to those carefree childhood days was experienced on the giant wheel and other rides.

While the amusements regaled one and all, the exuberant Fashion Show on the first day energized the atmosphere with vivacious high spirited fashion aficionados as they walked the ramp in style and aplomb. The rains failed to dampen the already electrifying ambience.

The frenetic events of the two days of the Lumiere – II concluded with DJ Ivan entertaining the large crowds belting numbers that got the gathering keeping time with the rhythm and mood of the evening.

“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success” (Henry Ford) was richly represented in Lumiere – II.
