Christmas Carol Service the most jubilant event was held at the Bishop Cotton Girls’ School on 20th December, 2024 at 6:00 pm, heralding the theme, “Hope From the Manger” a Christmas Musical conveying the true essence of Christmas that God’s love to in liberating humankind from the shackles of sin and death is incredible.
Grand Christmas melodies rendered by the teaching fraternity, student community and maintenance staff was the highlight of the evening. The event witnessed enthralling choreography performed by the students of Bishop Gill Girls’ Home, KGF and students of BCGS respectively.
The occasion was graced by the Rt. Rev. Martin C Borgai, Bishop- In-Charge, CSI Karnataka Central Diocese and Chairman, Board of Management who was the celebrant of the event, Mrs. Prema Borgai, Rt. Rev. Dr. P K Samuel, Bishop Emeritus, Prof. Mrs. Esther P K Samuel, Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar, Presbyter-in-charge St Mark’s Cathedral, Secretary Karnataka Central Diocese and Vice-Chairman Board of Management, Dr. N D Solomon Raju, Treasure Karnataka Central Diocese. The celebration was indeed remarkable under the meticulous leadership of the Principal Dr. Mrs. Lavanya Mithran. The event witnessed the presence of the members of the Board of Management, Executive Committee, Education Committee, Presbyters of various Churches of KCD, present and former principals of the KCD institutions, retired staff of BCGS, Alumni of Old Girls’ Association other dignitaries, parents and invitees.
The Rt. Rev. Martin C Borgai who was the celebrant of the event addressed the gathering and delivered the Christmas message. The gist of his message was knit upon three principles of reflection, reconciliation and restoration which inundated that the birth of Christ is the only universal hope for mankind. Rt. Rev. Dr. P K Samuel, Bishop Emeritus brought forth the greetings of hope in this joyous season.
The Carol Service concluded with the closing prayer by the Rev. Christy Gnanadasan, Chairman KCD Civil Area and Member Board of Management and Benedicton pronounced by the Rt. Rev. Martin C Borgai.
