Punctuality and Attendance
All students must attend school regularly and punctually. Attendance on re-opening day after each vacation and the last day of each term is compulsory. Serious notice will be taken if this rule is violated. Prior permission must be obtained in the prescribed form for any absence from school. In the case of absence due to illness, a leave letter must be produced on the day the pupil returns to class. A medical certificate is required if the pupil is absent for more than three days. No one is allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without permission.
Fees
Each pupil is supplied with a fee card. The fees are to be paid within the stipulated time, failing which, a fine of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty Only) per month (or part of the month) will be levied. A readmission fee of Rs.100/- will be charged if arrears of quarterly fees are carried over to the next quarter.
Uniform
The school uniform is compulsory for all classes, including school tie, belt and socks. Students from nursery to standard XII are expected to wear the school socks. Neatness and cleanliness in dress and in person is compulsory. Expensive and ornate jewelry is not permitted. The school is not responsible for the loss of such articles.
Exams & Promotions
The student’s progress is assessed by means of tests and terminal exams. Parents will be regularly informed about the performance of their wards. Promotion to the next class depends upon the performance of the students through the year. The decision of the Principal and teachers is final. There will be no re-examination in case a student is unable to appear for an exam. Students who are detained in the same class for two years will have to leave the school..
Withdrawals
Fees for the whole term will have to be paid if a day scholar is withdrawn during the middle of the year. Boarding fees for the whole academic year will have to be paid if a boarder is withdrawn during the middle of the academic year.
Private Tuition’s
Private tuition is generally discouraged and should be considered only as a remedial measure in exceptional cases such as prolonged illness, late admission, changeover from a new system, etc. The Principal will arrange for tuitions if required.
Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians are expected to co-operate with the school on all matters. The following points are important for parents to follow.
- Read the rules listed in the Students’ Diary and ensure that the student conforms to them.
- Check the diary every day for homework, special notices and circulars.
- Report cards will be sent at regular intervals. Parents must note the weaknesses of their ward and take the necessary steps to improve her performance. Report cards must be signed and returned within one week.
- All correspondence pertaining to the school or the student should be addressed to the Principal.
- Parents are not permitted to enter the classrooms or meet the staff during school hours. Those seeking information or wishing to make a complaint must do so at the office. Interviews with the teachers will be arranged by the office, when considered necessary, upon receiving a written request.
- Day scholars must not, under any circumstances, bring foodstuff for the boarders or undertake to carry messages or letters.
- A student may be sent home or asked to report for detention classes for offences such as repeated failure in: wearing the correct school uniform not bringing require books, not bringing replies or signatures of parents or for persistent irregularity and lack of punctuality. Students against whom there are frequent complaints are liable for suspension or expulsion.
