A tough year with tough challenges but we as Cottonians only march, “On straight On”, emerging from the most challenging situations as winners. An academic year different in all senses began with the first ever virtual debate competition on the 10th of July 2020. A competition that implored students to argue and present opinions to emerge as new leaders in this ever-changing world. This time we held our annual debate competition in an inter stream matter, to see the classes battle it out and emerge victorious. For the first time as we learn to adapt to the online world, we held this event on a completely virtual platform – Microsoft teams. Held for the students of standard 12 the debate topic presented some novel and enthralling opinions and arguments. The topic given being “Advancing AI and related technology systems will enhance human capacities and empower them.” Students from across classes participated. Our esteemed judges were teachers of our own school, Mrs Sanober Bharucha and Mrs. Juliet Anitha. An all in all exciting competition we saw Janice and Deepali of 12 commerce and Arts emerge as best speakers.

The competition was an enthralling one to watch and was a learning experience for all. As wise people say, “learning must never stop.” This was an experience of school activities and that adrenaline rush while sitting at home. A platform to interact with all students and enhance their learning, not hindering their school life development.
